"This just happened to me. You have to go to Activity Log at the top of your page, then scroll through and "highlight" every post you want to continue to show on your timeline. If you don't do that, apparently now FB is just arbitrarily deciding which posts to show and which to hide from your timeline. Ridiculous. I though I lost 2/3 of my timeline and was freaking out."

After playing around, I finally figured out what it was. Apparently, the new timeline has a "highlighting" that tells FB that the post is an important one. There is a dropdown menu that I can click on to show all stories, but unfortunately, it defaults to only showing highlighted posts. That means that FB assumes that any posts that are not highlighted are unimportant and they can hide it at any time. I hope this gets fixed soon.

1)Go too your Profile
2) Click Activity Log
3)Scroll down to your status or update that you want
4) Click on the little pencil on the right hand side
5)Press 'Highlighted on Timeline'
6)Success
